ICIT (International Conference on Information Technology) is a premier international Conference for high quality research in the area of Information Technology. The ICIT started in the year 1998, after a national conference on the topic was held in Bhubaneswar, India in 1997 under the leadership of Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty. Since then the conference has been held annually on a regular basis. The conference is supported by the Orissa Information Technology Society (OITS) and IEEE in joint collaboration with other leading and premier institutions of the state. ICIT has been established to be an important forum for the academic researchers, industry professionals and other experts working in the field of IT and ITES sectors all over the world to exhibit their research talents, skills and creativity. Researchers and practitioners from academia and industry are invited to present the results of their research findings on various topics related to Information Technology and its Applications.
The state of Orissa has taken major initiatives to promote the Information Technology Sectors further through establishing world class IT Research Institutions. Conference such as this ICIT-2009 encourages young mind to explore new areas on research and development. The participation of a large number of delegates will bring new ideas for deliberations and expose knowledge in the latest developments in this fast moving area.
This time, the 12th ICIT, ICIT-2009 is being jointly organized by the Orissa Information Technology Society (OITS) (http://www.oits.org) and the TempleCity Institute of Technology and Engineering (TITE), Khurda (http://tite.ac.in) in technical cooperation (request pending) with IEEE-Computer Society, and has been scheduled to be held at Bhubaneswar, India during December 21 – 24, 2009.
